Winter 2016 Writing Digital Content Partnership Recap

In this 10-week graduate-level Writing Digital Content course, students from DePaul University’s MA in WRD and MA in New Media Studies worked with staff and stakeholders from four Chicago-area nonprofit organizations to create content strategy documents.

This year’s partner organizations were Art on Sedgwick, Chicago Youth Programs, Lincoln Park Community Center, and the Rauner Family YMCA.

The primary deliverables of this partnership were two reports: an Initial Content Strategy Report—which included a message architecture, core strategy statement, personas, content audit, channel assessments, user-research reports, and competitor/peer analyses—and a Final Content Strategy Report—which included a big-picture communications timeline, editorial calendar, master channel and velocity plan, and other organization-appropriate content recommendations.
